Group: Support Staff

Nathan Dingess serves as Costume Shop Supervisor for Gainesville Theatre Alliance and oversees the daily coordination and construction of GTA’s costumes. He graduated from Brenau University in 2020 with a B.A. in Theatre, and has worked professionally in costumes for stage & film. In the costume profession, Nathan has worked for companies such as Marvel Studios, DC Entertainment, Netflix, AMC, Peacock, Triple Horse Studios, and Actors Express. He is dedicated to the development and growth of the well-rounded artist, as well as the growth of the community around him.

Jennifer Owens serves as the Audience Services Specialist for Gainesville Theatre Alliance. She holds a BFA in Acting from Brenau University and is a proud GTA alumna, graduating in 2014. You can find Jennifer working on the University of North Georgia Oakwood campus assisting our community members with all things ticketing and coordinating day to day operations of our Box Office. Jennifer mentors a selection of students each semester in preparation for potential careers in Arts Administration with a focus in Audience Services. She is honored to be a part of this creative community and a student body of well-rounded artists who will take the world by storm. Beyond her role with GTA, she is most importantly a mother to her wonderful son, Truett.

David Becker grew up in the Buford and Lawrenceville, GA area and is a graduate of the University of Georgia. David spent several years working in regional theatre in south Florida before moving to Atlanta to take up industrial and corporate theatre endeavors. He serves as GTA’s Technical Director and has been with GTA for over a decade.

Joslyn Hilliard serves as GTA’s Managing Director and UNG’s Theatre Department Business Officer. As Managing Director, Joslyn manages the annual budgets for GTA as well as the accounts payable/receivable, contracts, and purchasing for the organization. She also acts as company manager and department administrator, supports recruitment efforts, and oversees the operations and policies of box office, front of house, and marketing. Joslyn has 30+ years’ experience in the financial and not-for-profit management fields and studied at Auburn University and IUPUI. You can find her between 9 am and 5 pm in her office, but she spends her non-work hours with her husband, David, and their young adult children. Both Joslyn and her husband are avid Premier League soccer fans (Go Chelsea!!). Joslyn likes ice cold pilsners, cheesy Italian & Mexican food, and chocolate. You’ll also find that she’s a big Harry Potter fan and a bit of a nerd with her books and games…and she’s just recently been bitten by the travel bug (London, Paris, Miami Beach, NYC!!).
