Lisa Fischel

Lisa Fischel, MFA | EMC, is an innovative and collaborative Theatre Artist and Educator. She is certified in Michael Lugering’s The Expressive Actor: Integrated Voice, Movement, and Acting Training and Stage Combat. Lisa’s specialties include Voice & Movement pedagogy, Shakespeare & Classical Acting, Acting for the Camera and Stage, Meisner, Devising, Script Analysis, Directing, and Theatre History. She has worked professionally in Theatre and film throughout the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and West coast.

Lisa has served as Vice President for The Association of Theatre Movement Educators, and is member of the Association of Theatre for Higher Education. Her niche in education is the ability to teach the individual in traditional group settings. Lisa is a vivacious and engaging educator who thrives in uniting a collective and inspiring those around her to reach their greatest potential in their personal and professional lives.

Lisa served as the Instructor of Theatre in Acting and Movement at Angelo State University, the Director of Theatre at Coffeyville Community College, and Senior Lecturer of Movement at The University of the Arts. She has also worked as a teaching artist for Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, The Lantern Theatre Company, and Theatre Horizon. She is thrilled to join Brenau University as Assistant Professor of Theatre and head of the BA Program.
