In the theatre for 40 years, Gay continues to be a working actor (See Rock City, Look Homeward Angel, The Importance of Being Earnest, Romeo and Juliet), director (The Bra & Panty Club, The Ugly Duckling, Monstrous Regiment, Jungle Book, The Philadelphia Story, Sense & Sensibility, Red) and playwright (newclassicsplays.com). She has written 40 plays, all of which have been fully produced. She serves as the Wordsmith annually for The Hall County Alliance for Literacy Spelling Bee, and is a member of The Dramatists Guild, The Playwrights’ Center of Minneapolis, The American Alliance for Theatre and Education, as well as the Southeastern Theatre Conference and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Gay has been training actors and other human beings her entire adult life and believes fervently in active, passionate communication as our most important skill. Gay has two grown children, Amelia and John Connor–both of whom are professional actors and educators–two amazing grandbabies, Siona and Ramses, and one terribly funny wire fox terrier, Thistle.
